About Beets Me
WELCOME !
This site continues to be a work in progress,
thus the name Beets Me.
It represents an ongoing journey,
not a destination.
Many expeditions through unknown territory involve
bumps, delays, detours, and missed turns along the way.
While traveling through ancestral history,
I have tried to track the correct path,
by utilizing whatever information that could be found,
and by consulting many guides.
( Thank you to all you "guides" who have contributed ! )
Therefore, the material herein is not all graven in granite,
so if you find anything needing correction,
or have any connection with the families here,
or, just want to say hello,
please drop me a line.

BEETS
Most researchers believe the family originated in the Netherlands, or Germany.
There is a small town in Nord- Holland named Beets.
The early Beets name was sometimes spelled Beats, or Bitts .
The earliest ancestor in this line was George Beets
who is first found in Lancaster County PA in 1771.
His six sons spread the family to many states..
John and Daniel to Tennessee.
George Jr. to TN and Missouri.
Joseph to Missouri.
Adam to Virginia.
Peter to Ohio.
God Bless.
